What details can be found in the Info tab?
The Info section of the article flyout gives additional information about the article including the article title, all author names, state, current stage of the article, assignee name, due date, probe validation options and further details of the article are provided in the table.
1. State options
This shows you the ‘State’ of the article.
- By default, all articles are in a ‘Normal’ state.
- Publishing services admin and publishing services managers can mark an article as ‘On-hold’ if an article’s progression must be temporarily paused for a particular reason. Typically, this is used in cases where authors are unavailable for a period for revision or if article processing charges have not been paid etc. These can later be marked back to the normal state as desired.
- Similarly, they can also mark an article as ‘Fast track’ to indicate its urgency.
2. Stage history
This shows you a summary of the article's history.
- View the current stage the article is in.
- View the current assignee name.
- View the current assignee’s due date for the stage.
- Additionally, if your role has sufficient access, you will also see a ‘pencil’ icon near the assignee name and due date. This enables you to reassign the article to an alternate user or to change the due date for the stage. This is typically done by publishing services managers and publishing services admin based on circumstances like unavailability of associates, requests for extensions from publishers etc.
