How to insert a new equation?

How to insert a new equation?

  1. Place the cursor where you wish to insert a new equation. 
  2. Go to ‘Insert menu’ and click ‘Equation’ icon. 

 

  1. The equation editor page will open in a new window. 

 

  1. Type the equation in the tab using keyboard for simple terms and utilize symbols and formulas given in the equation editor for complex terms. 
  2. The preview of the equation will be displayed in ‘Equation preview’ tab. 
  3. Select the math type as ‘Inline’ or ‘Display’ based on the requirements. 
  4. ​Click ‘Ok’ to save the equation or ‘Cancel’ to discard.
