How to insert a new equation?
- Place the cursor where you wish to insert a new equation.
- Go to ‘Insert menu’ and click ‘Equation’ icon.
- The equation editor page will open in a new window.
- Type the equation in the tab using keyboard for simple terms and utilize symbols and formulas given in the equation editor for complex terms.
- The preview of the equation will be displayed in ‘Equation preview’ tab.
- Select the math type as ‘Inline’ or ‘Display’ based on the requirements.
- Click ‘Ok’ to save the equation or ‘Cancel’ to discard.
- The screenshot below depicts the view after inserting a new equation.
