How to search and assign editors?

  1. You can search the section editors/associate editors/lead guest editors/guest editors by clicking the ‘Search widget’ icon near the 'choose editor' dropdown.

 

  1. This will open a pop-up window where you can find the respective editors, affiliations, sections and active assignments. 
  2. You can assign editors by clicking ‘Assign’ option. 

 

Search by name and affiliation 

  1. To search for the editors, click on the search bar. 

 

  1. Enter editor’s name or affiliation, then click 'Search' to view results. 
  2. This is useful if you have a particular editor’s name in mind or if you are looking for editors from a specific institution. 

 

Filter by keywords and workload 

  1. You can further refine your selection by applying filters. 
  2. To apply filters, click on 'Filter', as highlighted here. 

 

  1. You can search for specific section, and then click 'Search' for results. 
  2. You can also choose to select or deselect sections from the list as needed 

 

 

  1. You can also use the filter to select editors based on their active assignments.
  2. If an editor already has enough assignments, the chances of declining the assignment is high. 

 

  1. Click on the 'Apply filter' button. 

 

  1. A list of editors matching your filter criteria will be displayed.
