How to cite an equation?
- Click on the desired location within the text to cite the equation and click 'Insert’ menu from the toolbar.
- Click ‘Citation’ option which thereby opens a pop-up containing all the objects including cited and uncited equations.
- Select ‘Direct’ or ‘Indirect’ citation option from the dropdown.
- Direct citation types (without brackets) are used in the beginning of the sentence and indirect citations (with brackets) are used in the end of the sentence.
- Select the equation you want to cite.
- Click ‘Save and Close’ option to save the citation.
- The screenshot below depicts the view after citing an equation.
