What are the other options available for editing a table?

Click the table and select the ‘Tables’ option. 

 

1. Add/Remove zebra style 

The zebra style of the table refers to a design where alternating rows of the table are shaded differently, typically with two contrasting colors

 

 

  1. Click the table and select the ‘Add/remove zebra style’ option. 
  2. The below screenshot depicts the view after removing the zebra style. 

 

Note: Repeat the above steps to add the zebra style again. 

 

2. Validate table 

  1. If the uploaded table has extra or missing cells, validation errors will appear. At this point, the issues can be fixed using the ‘Validate table’ option. 
  2. Adjust the colspan and modify the cells as necessary to correct any errors related to them. 

 

3. Insert rows/columns 

  1. Select specific cells and click any of the four following options to insert rows/columns depending on your need. 
    1. Insert rows above 
    2. Insert rows below 
    3. Insert columns left  
    4. Insert columns right 

 

4. Delete rows/columns 

  1. Select specific cells and click any of the two following options to delete rows/columns depending on your need. 
    1. Delete rows 
    2. Delete columns

5. Merge/Split cells 

  1. Select specific cells that you want to merge.
  2. Click ‘Tables’ and select ‘Merge’ to merge the cells in a row depending on your need.

  1. Select specific cells that you want to split.
  2. Click ‘Tables’ and select ‘Split’ to split the cells in a row depending on your need.

6. Move to head/Move to body 

  1. If the table head is marked as table body, follow the below steps, 
  1. Select specific row that you want to mark as head of the table. 
  2. Click ‘Tables’ and select ‘Move to head’ to move the rows to head.

  1.  If the table body is marked as table head, follow the below steps, 
  1. Select specific row that you want to mark as body of the table. 
  2. Click ‘Tables’ and select ‘Mark as body’ to move the rows to body.
