How to leave quick notes and instructions for other editors

Here you can leave quick notes and instructions to other editors, to have a shared visibility of correspondence between editors. 

  1. Editorial assistants typically add notes to leave any specific information for editors’ attention about details checked during the screening/desk review stage.  
  2. Additionally, when editors assign other editors, they can also leave notes to leave specific contextual instructions if necessary  
  3. To enter your notes, utilize the provided space, attach necessary files by choosing ‘Add attachments,’ and then click ‘Send.’  
  4. You can also reply to existing notes to maintain a thread of note responses 
  5. Whenever notes are present, you will see a blue dot on the article card indicating the number of notes.
  6. Click on the icon to directly access the notes tab. add
