How other editors make decision on a manuscript?

  1. If you play any of the following editorial roles - Editor-in-chief / Section editor / Lead guest editor , you can either make a final decision right away or assign it to the next editor to continue the peer review process.  
  2. If you are play any of the following editorial roles- Associate editors/ Guest editor, you can send the manuscript for author revision or provide recommendations for manuscript but you are not able to make the final decision.
While it is recommended that you always invite reviewers and make a decision after you have received sufficient reviews, there are a few cases where you might want to make a decision without sending for review. The Kriyadocs workflow is configured to provide you the options as per your editorial workflow. 
  1. Click 'Make decision' button present on the top-right corner of the page.  This will lead you to a pop-up window displaying these options to make a decision. As mentioned above, the sign off options depend on your publisher’s editorial workflow configuration. 
    1. Send to associate editor / guest editor (choose from the list of editors) 
    2. Accept manuscript (accept before or after review as necessary) 
    3. Major revisions needed (send back to author for revisions) 
    4. Minor revisions needed (send back to author for revisions) 
    5. Reject manuscript (reject before or after review as necessary) 

Note: All of these options have preconfigured email templates that you can edit and personalize before sending.
